Fixed Restorations
Full Contour Zirconia
Our monolithic zirconia crown restorations are milled by highly trained technicians on some of the most advanced CAD/CAM equipment in the industry and offers the highest flexural strength of any ceramic restoration, but natural looking without compromising on strength, making them ideal for anterior restorations and patients prone to bruxing and grinding.
Turnaround time
8-10 days in lab
Preparation
120° chamfer prep
Feather edge and bevels are not ideal
Indications
Ideally suited for bruxers and grinders
Esthetic alternatives to full cast crowns
Cementation
Conventional cementation
Notes from your technician
Restorations should always be adjusted at low speed, using a fine grit diamond, water, and air spray to keep the restorations cool and to avoid microfracture.
Layered Zirconia
Layered Zirconia provides a high strength alternative to other anterior restorative techniques. By applying a thin (.5 to 1.0 mm), high translucency facial porcelain over a restoration, we are able to dramatically enhance anterior esthetics, without compromising the inherent strength of zirconia.
Turnaround time
9-10 days in lab
Preparation
120° chamfer prep
Feather edge and bevels are not ideal
Advantages
No limit on size or length of restoration being designed
Durability and strength of monolithic zirconia
Utilizes micro layering technique with layered ceramic on the facial/buccal surface for the high level of esthetics
Resistant to extreme hot and cold temperatures which lower the frequency of tooth hypersensitivity
Cementation
Conventional cementation
Indications
Suitable for both anterior or posterior crowns and bridges
Matching natural teeth or adjacent restorations
Notes from your technician
Layered Zirconia restorations should always be adjusted at low speed, using a fine grit diamond, water, and air spray to keep the restorations cool and to avoid microfracture.
Veneers
Veneers can be fabricated as thin as 0.2 to 0.3 mm, depending on the treatment plan and can offer a less intrusive solution than crowns and braces. They are bonded to the surface of a patient’s preexisting dentition and follow the contours of their teeth. They are ideal for cosmetic enhancements such as closing diastemas and changing shades or position.
Turnaround time
5-10 days in lab
Advantages
Fixed restorations look and feel like natural dentition
Fabricated to last a lifetime, without sacrificing any of your favorite foods
Available in Full Zirconia, Hybrid-Denture, or PMMA
Preparation guide
Angle the diamond bur to bevel back the incisal edge
Notes from your technician

Notes from your technician
For facial reduction, three-wheel diamond depth cutters should be used for orientation grooves. For proximal reduction, round end tapered diamond bur is used as an extension for facial reduction.
Diagnostic Wax Ups
Achieving success with anterior restorations is one of dentistry’s biggest challenges. Patients expect contours and shade to be right the first time. Diagnostic Wax Up is an invaluable tool to create ideal temporaries and highly esthetic final restorations. Our team can guide you through treatment planning, prep design, material selection and reduce unproductive chair time.

Notes from your technician
In order to produce precise-fitting final restorations, specific direction is required on the prescription form from the doctor regarding desired final restorative design (i.e. veneers, crowns, etc.). The type of matrices or interim restoration should also be clearly indicated (temporary matrix, preparation matrix, PMMA provisional).

Tips for your patient
Caring for dentures properly will help prolong the life, prevent plaque or staining from forming, and prevent the denture from developing an odor. Just like natural teeth, dentures require daily care. Dentures can be cleaned with mild hand soap, dishwashing liquid or mild denture cleaners. Using toothpaste or a hard bristled brush is not recommended as they can cause damage and scratches. Because most dentures need to remain moist to keep their shape, soaking them in warm water or a mild denture solution is recommended.
Cast Removable Partial Dentures
Our Cast Removable Partial Dentures are designed digitally and cast in Chrome Cobalt alloy to provide strength, resistance to corrosion, and lightweight durability while delivering an accurate fit and extreme comfort for your patient. We strike the perfect balance between beauty, delicacy, and durability and are available with the same denture teeth and processing options as our complete denture lines. Additionally, we offer tooth-colored acetyl clasps as well as flexible pink or clear clasp options for your patients.

Notes from your technician
A good alginate impression is highly recommended in order to achieve optimal results. For the doctors that do not want to pour their own impressions, there are many extended pour alginate impression materials available—please ask your ust for specific recommendations. Additionally, if scanning a cast partial, it is extremely important to grab as much of the anatomical landscape as possible.
Flexible Partials
Flexible Partials are crafted out of high-quality nylon thermoplastic material making them practically unbreakable and afford them an ideal degree of flexibility. They are nearly invisible, easily repairable as well as rebasable – ensuring quick chairside adjustments while providing a high level of comfort. Patients get used to them very quickly and soon forget they are even wearing a partial denture.

Notes from your technician
Flexible Partials provide a great solution for patients who want improved aesthetics without the cost associated with traditional crown & bridge restorations or implants. When prescribing a flexible partial please keep in mind that a minimum for 8-10 weeks healing is recommended as flexible partials cannot be relined in immediate situations. In order to keep your Flexible Partials looking and feeling like new, please follow these simple recommendations:
Continue to brush your natural teeth and gums as directed by your dentist.
Clean your appliance daily. Rinse under warm running water for approximately 10-30seconds to remove any food particles.
Brush your appliance with a soft denture brush using water only. Rinse again.
Place your appliance in a denture cleaner for at least 15 minutes daily.
When possible, keep your appliance in water or a denture solution when you are notwearing it.
DO NOT use bleach, toothpaste, or similar cleaning products, as these may scratch or discolor the surface of your appliance.

Notes from your technician
For Full Arch Implant Cases the following are suggested for optimal results:
A verification jig is strongly recommended. The jig can be done direct to implant level(this is dependent on path of draw), on Multi Unit Abutments (MUAs), or even doing anabutment try-in/impression in lieu of a verification jig.
The use of the Sheffield test (one screw test) is recommended when trying in theverification jig. One screw will be tightened at one end of the framework, then check theother abutment sites for any fit discrepancies.
A "fixed" bite rim is also recommended. This bite rim screws into the implant, multi-unitabutment, or over the custom abutments.
A PMMA (if the case is zirconia) is suggested as a means to verify occlusion, esthetics, and to be used as a back-up should anything ever happen to the final restoration. In some instances, if the final restoration fractures, this PMMA can be used as a verification-jig, model of the temp, and the bite. For the most successful outcome, Full Arch Implant cases are best done in stages and not taken direct to final.

Implant Supported Overdentures
An Overdenture is a removable dental prosthetic that is tissue born but is retained using an implant attachment. Implant Supported Overdentures help to prevent changes in the jaw that occur with edentulous patients, last longer and are better tolerated than traditional dentures. Imperial Dental Lab offers a variety of overdenture solutions, including popular options such as ZEST locators, ERAs and milled bar.
Turnaround time

Advantages
Function and feel like natural teeth
Preparation
Wax try-in to verify placement of teeth before finish
Notes from your technician
Study models and full-face photos showing eyes and high smile is always helpful for your BonaDent technician to use when selecting teeth.
Tips for your patient
To remove, patients should place one thumb under the left edge and one finger under the right edge of the overdenture and pull one side upward and the other side downward, simultaneously. Patients can also use their tongue to aid in the removal of the lower overdenture.
Overdentures should be removed and cleaned daily.
Refrain from picking at the abutments or retention inserts with toothpicks or other foreign objects.
Do NOT eat without the overdenture in place, as food will scratch the abutment and may result in implant failure.
Occlusal Appliances
Hard/Soft Night Guard
According to the American Sleep Association, 10% of people damage their teeth through bruxing and grinding as they sleep. The use of a night guard can help prevent the chipping, cracking and strained jaw muscles associated with those conditions. With such a sizeable market, you have a tremendous opportunity to expand your offerings by prescribing Hard/Soft Night Guards. Prior to insertion, the guard is placed in warm water allowing the material to become pliable to ensure an intimate internal fit. Once cooled, the material will harden providing ideal strength.

Bite Splint
Our Bite Splint is the answer to the breakage, excessive wear and discomfort that results from bruxing and grinding. You can offer your patients this affordable and comfortable option to prevent nighttime damage and to protect their teeth. The Bite Splint is made of a 3mm hard copolyester outer layer and is available in both hard and hard/soft varieties. Both varieties provide outstanding durability and strength, while the hard/soft splint features an additional soft internal surface that rests comfortably against the teeth and gums.
